Anna Katherine is 6 months!

Can't believe my little angel is now 6 months old!  Forgive the cheesiness because I have to do some memory recording!
Here are some stats:
* You have two teeth coming in on the bottom!  You started getting one on Thursday before you turned 6 months and the other one broke through on your 6 months birthday
* You are going to be crawling before too long...tonight I put you down on the floor and put your frog lovey just out of your reach and I really thought you might crawl to it.  You definitely have the strength, you just haven't quite figured out how to convert the lunge to a crawl.
* You LOVE your jumperoo!  You laugh and laugh in it and jump all around.

 * You are fascinated with big brother.  You keep your eye on him (smart girl) but he is always making you laugh!
* I love your little "signs"...when you are tired, you love to do a little laugh/cry combination...it's a dead giveaway that you are very sleepy!  You whine and cry but when I look at you you start laughing and smiling even with tears in your eyes.
*You have started babbling and your favorite babble is "Dada!"  You do always look at your dada when you say it so we wonder if you really know what you are doing....
*You are still waking up 2-3 times a night!
*Daddy and I have noticed that your cry/screams are much louder than Dalton's were as a baby.  And also MUCH higher pitched!  Is this a sign of things to come??  :)
*You continue to absolutely LOVE to eat!  It makes me so happy that you are a good eater!  Last night I fed you peas, which are your least favorite.  When big brother didn't like something he would turn his head and purse his lips and we might as well forget it!  However, you made a little face and then would just open your mouth for more even though you didn't like it.  You ate a whole jar!  Aside from peas, though, you really love everything else.  The other night I gave you a combination of sweet potatoes and apples and you couldn't get it down fast enough!  Also--you are eating in your high chair now.  Here you are trying to eat your bowl.  The spinach just wasn't enough, apparently....

Most importantly just remember how very much I love you....you have completed our family and I am soo thankful to have you in my life!  I remember I once was told that when you have your second child you realize that your love does not divide, it multiplies...truer words were never spoken.

Happy 60th birthday Dad!

First off, a big shout out to Brooke for fixing my blog!  I couldn't get any pics to post and she was able to log in and update my blogger account.  Isn't the pic of Charlotte cute??  Baby Charlotte can be in tha house any day!!  Anyway, this past weekend we went to NC on Friday night in preparation for a surprise party for Dad's 60th on Saturday.  Here is a picture of sweet Anna and Mr. Dave.  We had a great time and got in lots of good visiting for such a short time frame.  :)

After our visit with Mom and Dave, we packed up on Saturday and headed to Galax for Dad's party.  To say it went well would really be an understatement.  It was absolutely wonderful!!  He was so surprised, moved, and grateful.  I was so thrilled to have such a great turn out for him.  It was a true testament to how much he is loved!  Here's to 60 more years, Dad!

This is my most favorite picture....he was SO shocked!!
 Papa and little bit:
Right in the middle of the party, we looked out and it was snowing!  I was really happy that it wasn't too severe and also happy that little man got to play in it.  He was so cute and absolutely loved it!  He got up first thing Sunday morning and started changing his clothes so he could go out and play!  It was pretty funny because he kept asking me if it was Christmas again.  Funny how his little mind works.  When learning seasons at school, he was taught that winter means snow and Christmas...so to him, since it was snowing, it must be Christmas!

I am so honored to have such a wonderful family including the best brother and sister that a girl could ask for!  Here is Anna with her fave uncle :)

A little girl and her jumperoo

Look who is a big girl now in her jumperoo!! She loves it just as much as big brother did....her fave pasttime is jumping as high as she can and squealing and screaming as loudly as possible, all while watching TV of course!
A few more pics of her eating...she doesn't care much for peas but that's about it. She will tear up anything else that crosses her path-I would say favorite veggies are a cross between butternut squash and sweet potatoes. Favorite fruits are probably apples and bananas although that is a hard one to say because she absolutely inhales any fruit that comes across her tray!
Here is a typical dinnertime pic at our house!

Dalton-isms

Just wanted to do a little post about all the many sweet little "Dalton-isms" that my little man comes up with. As much as I enjoy them I know that one day I will want to remember and just won't be able to recall them. So...bear with me as I record for memory's sake. :)
Here is a recent conversation:
Me: What is mommy's real name?
Dalton: Jennifer Zackary Graham
Me: No...it's Jennifer Dalton Graham
Dalton: Really mommy? Is it really? Really???? (Insert very concerned look on face)
Me: Yes, it is
Dalton: Very very big smile :)
Another one....
Me: Dalton, did you have a dream last night?
Dalton: No, I don't have dreams anymore. My bed knows that I don't like dreams so my bed doesn't give them to me anymore.
Another one...
"I screamed bloody murder when I got my shots, Mommy, right??" ---Zack says he got this phrase from me :)
And one more...
Dalton, in the back seat on the way home from school:
"There is day moon over there and there is day sun over there. (Silent pause) What in day world, Mommy??"--Yes, he says "day" instead of "they." I probably should correct this more but it's just so precious to me and I know one day he will say it correctly and I will miss his sweet little voice saying "day." So for now, I just enjoy it.
Also...one of my favorite things about him right now is how protective he is about all of us. If you ask him who he prefers to do XYZ-mommy or daddy-he always says "Both of you." And even though he is pretty jealous of Anna he really couldn't love her more. The other day I took him to get his hair cut and the lady in there started talking about how she wanted to have Anna and take her home and trying to ask Dalton if that was ok....and he just kept saying, "No, that's our baby. No, she can't go with you." Sooo sweet!
There are sooo many more but here are just a few. Have a good week everyone!
