Weekend Recap

Happy St. Paddy's day!  This weekend we went to the Lawrenceville Spring Green Festival!  Mom and Dave came down to visit and we had a great time enjoying the spring (summer-80 degree) weather.  It was a beautiful day to be out and about in Georgia.  Like Dalton's get-up?  Yes, that's right, he sported a batman mask and cape.  This is when I have to remember the old saying "pick your battles."  Oh well-he had a blast and that's what counts.
Jumping in the bouncy house at the festival

Chillin' with Pops

Here Dalton and I are making some sand art.  We let him pick from several activities such as face painting, etc. but he really wanted to do this sand art.  I have to say I was pretty impressed with his color selection.  His little moon-shaped sand art turned out quite nicely and is now on proud display in his room.  A fun memory from the weekend!

Little bit was all tuckered out from all the fun.  Good thing Mimi was there to hold her! :)
The next day was another gorgeous sunny day.  So...we decided to head to our local park for a nice walk and playground fun.  What I didn't get a picture of was Dalton on the hike.  We walked probably 2 miles through the woods.  It was so nice!  Even though it was hot outside it was quite shady.  Little man hung in there like a champ!  He walked/ran about 1.5 miles and rode piggy-back on Daddy's shoulders for the rest of the time.
Relaxing in the baby jogger!  She enjoyed a nice nap during our hike.

First time on the swing.  LOVED it!  Giggled almost the whole time!

Love this sweet face!

Here she is giggling!  Look at those little teeth!

Watching big brother is so fascinating....

Taking a break on the hike

Dalton loved all the slides!

Buddy walking up the ladder to the play set.  I can remember when he used to be in the baby jogger at this park...in fact, it seems like only yesterday...
On our way home from the park, we had to make one of our 995 trips a week to Kroger for a couple of things.  Zack spotted this in the tree in the parking lot!  Yikes!!

Have a great week everyone!

Goodbye to a good man

I usually try to stay happy and bright on this blog but since it's purpose is to document our lives, I want to include a post about Zack's grandfather.  He passed away somewhat unexpectedly February 16 but after a short battle with declining health.  This picture is courtesy of Amanda but it really embodies how we remember him.  Please keep Zack and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Adventures in Dalton and Anna-land

Anna and Charlotte playing together!  Look how nicely they are sharing...
A couple of weekends ago Brooke, Sadie, and Charlotte came to visit us.  We had such a fun weekend hanging out!  Dalton and Zack ended up going to South Georgia.  We missed our boys but we did have a good time.  Unfortunately my hands were kind of full so I wasn't able to take many good pictures but I was so proud of all of us!  Can you believe we actually went out all day on Saturday?  And by "we" I mean me, Anna, Brooke, Sadie, Charlotte, Kristen, and Reese.  We loaded up the Tahoe and hit the trail and went to lunch and shopping and then drove around and looked at houses (everyone's new favorite pasttime....right girls??) while eating cupcakes!  LOL!  I'm sure we were quite the site to behold!  Here are a few pics from the weekend...
Dalton and Sadie play so well together.  Here they are after bathtime on Friday night!

Anna and all of her BFF's!
Here are a couple of pictures from our daily routines....Batman and little bit eating dinner!

Playing with her favorite toys....the stand and play table and her baby doll stroller!
Ok...I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am going to try to get better with my blogging.  And picture taking too for that matter...we have done lots of stuff lately and I have been a little slack about documenting it and taking photos.

Goodnight and I will be back with better blog posts and pictures soon!
