Weekend Happenings

This is a regular occurrence around our house.  Dalton and Anna in their "camp."

 We had another busy busy but lots of fun weekend this weekend!  We kicked things off with family pizza night on Friday.  Buddy was my big helper.  We may make this a regular thing (him helping cook dinner).  I noticed he ate a lot better than normal because he made it.  A big thanks to mom who did another round of dream dinners for us!  These things are heavenly...here's our pizza to prove it! :)

 Saturday morning we went to Charlotte to celebrate Miss Sadie Smathers' third birthday!  I can't believe Sadie is 3...my how time flies!  Her party was a the little gym and it was a blast.  Dalton loved it and so did Anna, actually!

 Last weekend, Anna and I went to Winston-Salem for a wonderful weekend of celebrating Diane's upcoming nuptials.  We had the best time and Diane's showers were so much fun!  On Saturday, Julie (mother in law to be) and Cambria (sister in law to be) hosted a shower at Julie's home.  The decorations were beautiful and the food was absolutely to die for.  I really wish I had taken a picture of the food table-it was all sooo delicious!

 Sunday, we went to JoBeth's house for another fun shower.  Her home is so beautiful and Diane once again racked up (for lack of a better word!).  Here are some of the shower-goers.

Diane and Josh have one more couple's shower in May and we can't wait to go back home and celebrate some more!  June 30 will be here before we all know it!

Life's a Zoo!

Little Man at swimming lessons...he's the one in the blue shirt! :)

 It's hard to believe but Dalton is taking swimming lessons this year.  He is loving it!  He's enrolled at Collins Hill Aquatic Center on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:40-6:10 for four weeks.  This is actually something I have wanted him to do for a couple of years but I have always been unable because of my 12 hour shifts, so now we are finally doing it!  Needless to say, he loves going and he loves the water.

 So...funny story (he will kill me for this in years to come)....can you see the pretty little girl in his class with the dark ponytail?  Her name is Campbell and she's very cute.  I noticed her myself the first day because her little towel and bathing suit were monogrammed and I thought to myself, "what a cute girl."  Well...I wasn't alone!  Yesterday before we went, Dalton says to me, "Hey mommy, is Campbell going to be there today?"  I was surprised-I didn't even think he knew anyone's name yet!  So I said, "Probably, why?"  And he says, "Because I think she's so sooo pretty!"  LOL!  Isn't that hilarious??

 This weekend Dad, Joanne, and Breeze all came for a visit!  Here's Papa goofing off with little man!

 Saturday we all loaded up and went to the Atlanta Zoo.  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  About 70 degrees and gorgeous.  We had so much fun there!

I told Zack this was the best $3 I ever spent!  He carried this popcorn around the whole time and loved it!  In fact I think it was his favorite thing about the zoo....ha!

Easter Fun

 Dalton and Anna have the best grandparents in the world!  Here are some pics of them with their Easter packages from Mimi.  They got matching sunglasses and Anna got a precious outfit and Dalton got a superhero t-shirt!  Dalton has worn the shirt no less than 5 times already. 

 Also...it is so funny how different the two of them are!  Dalton would never ever wear sunglasses at that age but just this weekend we took them to the zoo and Anna wore hers almost the whole time and loved them!  So cute...thanks Mimi!

 And...here they are with their Easter packages from Grandma and Grandaddy!  Anna got a precious frog and frog outfit and Dalton got a raccoon from Great Wolf Lodge and a tractor wallet-just like Daddy!  :)  Thanks Grandma!

One more go-round with egg dying...just because it was so much fun the first time!

Fun times at Chateau Elan for Easter Brunch!

Here are just a few pics from our Easter brunch at Chateau Elan.  It is such a nice thing to do on Easter.  Beautiful food, weather, and decor and even the Easter bunny walking around!  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
