Kindergarten Graduate

1st day of Kindergarten, August 2013

Last day of Kindergarten, May 2014
Sigh.  I can't believe how much this little boy is growing up.  I am so proud and yet a little piece of my heart just aches.  It truly seems like just yesterday that he was laying on my chest and sleeping while I was home on maternity leave.  Where does the time go?

I can't say enough about how wonderful his kindergarten year was.  We could NOT have asked for better teachers.  He had the sweetest little class and he has learned so very much.  We started out being able to read sight words and write his first name, but we have ended the year reading small chapter books, writing stories, and reciting facts about everything from sea animals to American History.  What a fantastic year!!!
End of the year party at school...decorating clown plates.  Such a fun party, complete with a slide show of the year and a Kona Sno-Cone Truck!  Even little sis got to come and celebrate :)

I let Dalton have a few friends over for a summer kick of party/end of school celebration.  It was SO much fun!  There were 5 boys total and they had water gun fights, threw water balloons, played basketball, ate pizza and popcorn, and of course cupcakes.  We are so thankful for the friends he made this year!
Couldn't leave out little sis!!  Sweet girl...

All boys!!  (L-R Christian, Ethan, Nate, Dalton, and Spencer)
We are looking forward to a great summer and a wonderful 1st grade year!!
