On August 8, 2013 the little boy that we brought home bundled in blankets not even 6 years ago as a tiny infant packed up his backpack and headed out the door to Kindergarten. Can you tell that I was a little emotional about it? Well-I was. Fortunately for him (and me, I suppose), I kind of had my little breakdown about it the night before and not the morning of. More than anything I guess I just hope and pray that I have prepared him as much as I could have. I kept asking myself, "Does he know how much he is loved?" and "Did I make sure every day to play with him and give him the time he needed?" Now I bet some are thinking "Good grief he's not moving out Jen"...but in a lot of ways it is the end of an era.
BUT-It is also the beginning of a new one. One that I think will be wonderful and full of fun, learning, adventure, and happiness for this sweet boy who adds so much light to our lives each and every day.

| Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to kindergarten I go! |
His kindergarten teachers this year are Mrs. Land and Mrs. Placek and
he is going to Haw Creek Elementary. I know we aren't even a month
into it yet, but I must say...so far, so good. I think Haw Creek is a
wonderful school and you definitely get a warm feeling when you walk in
the doors. He really does love it and is already learning a lot.
Amazing that in a month's time he already seems so much more grown up.
He says things like "Whoa that's awesome" and asks good questions. He
is a smart and sweet boy and I sure do love him!!!
I love everything about this post!!!
