My big Kindergartener

On August 8, 2013 the little boy that we brought home bundled in blankets not even 6 years ago as a tiny infant packed up his backpack and headed out the door to Kindergarten.  Can you tell that I was a little emotional about it?  Well-I was.  Fortunately for him (and me, I suppose), I kind of had my little breakdown about it the night before and not the morning of.  More than anything I guess I just hope and pray that I have prepared him as much as I could have.  I kept asking myself, "Does he know how much he is loved?"  and "Did I make sure every day to play with him and give him the time he needed?"  Now I bet some are thinking "Good grief he's not moving out Jen"...but in a lot of ways it is the end of an era.

BUT-It is also the beginning of a new one.  One that I think will be wonderful and full of fun, learning, adventure, and happiness for this sweet boy who adds so much light to our lives each and every day.

Breakfast request for the first day of school:  Bacon and eggs!

Proud kindergartener

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to kindergarten I go!
His kindergarten teachers this year are Mrs. Land and Mrs. Placek and he is going to Haw Creek Elementary.  I know we aren't even a month into it yet, but I must say...so far, so good.  I think Haw Creek is a wonderful school and you definitely get a warm feeling when you walk in the doors.  He really does love it and is already learning a lot.  Amazing that in a month's time he already seems so much more grown up.  He says things like "Whoa that's awesome" and asks good questions.  He is a smart and sweet boy and I sure do love him!!!
