Jack Hanna's Wild Adventures

Much to my very own dismay, we seem to be turning into Animal Planet over here.  I do want to foster a love of animals in my children, but never did I know we would be taking it to these extremes.  What extremes you say?  Well....
Behold the above image of Dalton and Anna in Dalton's room, playing with the pet turtle, Francesco.
And no, we didn't stop there.

At some point, Zack mentioned something to me about wanting and incubator and quail eggs.  Sure, I thought, whatever.  And I didn't give it another thought.  Until, about 2 weeks later, boxes were piled on my porch addressed to him.  Come to find out, sure enough, those boxes held an incubator and some quail eggs.  And about 18 days later....this is what we came home to:

7 sweet baby quail
I have to say, they were super cute (even to a non-animal lover like myself).  Especially neat that they arrived just before Easter!

*Sidenote-wonder why Dalton is wearing that jersey again?  Yes, me too.  It's one of our weekly arguments.  Believe me, he has drawers full of shirts.  But for some reason all he wants to wear is this jersey.  Oh well, at least I have minimized it to once a week.  He would wear it every single day if I let him!

Sassy and her chick.  She LOVED them!

So a neighbor stopped by the other day and ended up seeing all of our animal friends.  Which prompted her to say, "this is just like Jack Hanna's wild adventures over here!"  Why yes, Lori, yes it is...
